Select an item to View: Company Profile: Price LogPro, LLC. dates its origin back to 1965 with the formation of J.P. Price Lumber Company in Monticello, AR. Realizing the need for an economical high production drum debarking system for Price Industries Chip Mills, J.P. Price Lumber Company formed their own equipment manufacturing company to supply their need for woodyard technology. This technology would become the standard for economical fiber debarking while using a rubber tire supported drum debarkers. Price LogPro has developed many components in the chipping and debarking industry. Starting with the original rubber tire drum debarking system to the first transportable drum debarker and mobile drum debarker systems. With over 100 chip mill/drum debarker systems supplied to the industry since 1974, Price has the experience to handle today's evolving industry. Price while meeting the industry needs for cost effective drum debarking system, developed a true pulp and paper duty rotary log crane, which to this day has no equal. Price continued with developing and patenting the first domestic horizontal infeed conveyor system in the late 80's. The Positive Feed Conveying System allowed for greater utilization of the drum debarker with less fiber breakage. Many of Price LogPro's competitors today gained their knowledge while employed at Price or working in many of their chip-mill facilities. Price LogPro, LLC and Baxley Equipment operate a 145,000 sqft fabrication/office facility located on 13.9 acres in Hot Springs, Arkansas and a 40,000+ sqft facility in Baxley, Georgia. Baxley Equipment was started in 2004 by Chris Raybon, Pat Conry and Russell Kennedy. In January of 2005, Baxley purchased the assets of Hi-Tech Electronics and then in February of 2006, purchased the remaining assets of Hi-Tech Engineering. Price LogPro & Baxley Equipment has staged its self for the next generation of Bio-Fuel, Energy and Lumber production facilities utilizing drum debarking & material handling technologies. | |||
