Centering Infeed Scanner High-resolution scanners (up to 3 scanners) simultaneously scan the cant as it is fed into the slew/skew gang edger. Cants can be fed to the scanner centering table from one or both sides. A Windows™ user interface allows easy product setup with 3-D graphics and a common look and feel shared by other USNR Newnes/McGehee Optimizers. Curve Sawing optimization also uses edger and trimmer logic to enhance sawing decisions for higher recovery. Motion controllers are used to ensure accurate movement of sawbox components. The operator console, infomaster display, and Windows based Human Machine Interface (HMI) provide operators with easy-to-use controls to run the system.
